Is my information private?
Yes — completely. Everything you enter stays encrypted on your own phone. There's no account, no cloud, and no server. We never see your data, and it's never uploaded anywhere. If it's not on your phone, it doesn't exist.
What does the app cost?
The Weapon Vault is free to download. Any premium features will be clearly marked before you ever pay. There are no ads and we never sell your information — because we don't have it.
What phones does it work on?
The Weapon Vault is available for iPhone (iOS) and Android. You can install it from the App Store or Google Play.
What can I keep track of?
Firearms with photos, make, model, type, caliber, serial number, purchase date and price, and where you bought them. You can also store accessories, optics, ammunition types and counts, and your own documents like a concealed carry permit or tax stamp.
What happens if I forget my passcode?
Your passcode unlocks the key that encrypts your data, and we cannot recover it — by design. This is what keeps your records truly private (there's no back door for anyone, including us). Choose a passcode you'll remember, and consider keeping a secure backup of your data using the export feature.
Can I move my records to a new phone?
Yes. Use the built-in Export feature to create a secure, encrypted file, then import it on your new phone. Your data moves directly between your devices — never through us.
Can I show my documents to someone quickly?
Yes. Store your permit, tax stamps, or any document in the app, then open them full-screen in seconds when someone needs to see them.
Why would I need this?
Insurance claims, estate planning, theft reports, or a house fire — a complete record of what you own, with photos and serial numbers, can make a hard situation far easier. The Weapon Vault keeps that record private, organized, and ready.
Does the app sell or transfer firearms?
No. The Weapon Vault is strictly a personal record-keeping tool. It does not buy, sell, or transfer firearms, ammunition, or accessories, and it is not a marketplace.
Is my data backed up to the cloud?
No. Nothing is stored on any server or cloud that we control. You are in full control of your own backups through the export feature.
