The Weapon Vault is a private, on-device record book for gun owners — firearms, ammo, accessories, documents, and a precise scope-dial calculator in Mils & MOA. Nothing ever leaves your phone.
Built for owners who want complete records and real ballistics — without handing their collection to a cloud or a company.
Stored only on your device. No accounts, no tracking, no ads.
Up to 5 photos per weapon, make, type, caliber, serial — plus ammo and accessories with their own photos.
Keep tax stamps, permits, and receipts attached to each firearm.
One tap builds a complete report for police and insurance, serial and all.
Track who borrowed what, with a return-by date and overdue reminders.
Per-firearm ballistic chart — range to MOA/MIL and exact clicks for your load.
Records live only on your device. When you share one, lock it with a passphrase — the text turns into unreadable scramble that only your passphrase can open.
Set a passphrase; the other device enters the same one to import. It's never stored — only you hold the key.
No cloud, no accounts. Your collection never leaves your phone unless you choose to share it.
AES encryption scrambles every shared record. Without the passphrase, the text is meaningless.
The passphrase is never saved or sent anywhere — not to us, not to anyone.
Your passcode is the only thing that can unlock your records — and we never receive it. Your data is encrypted with a random 256-bit key that your passcode unlocks. We hold none of your information: no account, no email, no copy of your data, nothing on any server. That is true privacy — not even we can open your vault. For the security-minded, that's the whole point: there's no company database to leak, subpoena, or hack, because there's nothing on our end to take.
The trade-off is simple and honest: your passcode cannot be recovered. Since we hold none of your data, there is no "forgot passcode," no reset, and no backdoor. If you lose your passcode, your data is permanently locked away — even from us. Memorize it, write it somewhere safe, and keep encrypted backups with Export.
The screens you'll use most — your records, the theft packet, loan tracking, and the scope dial.
Pick a quick 6-digit PIN for speed, or a high-security passcode that's practically uncrackable. Your data is encrypted with a random key that only your code unlocks — either way, no one but you can open your vault.
Photos, make, caliber, serial, price, storage, ammo and accessories — all in one private place.
One tap builds a complete report with serial, photos and details — everything police and insurance need.
Record who borrowed what and when it's due. Text them in one tap and get an overdue reminder.
Range-to-adjustment in MOA or Mils with exact clicks for your load — switchable with one tap.
The cartridge locks to your firearm — choose a factory load and the grain, BC and velocity fill in for the scope dial.
List scopes, optics, lights and slings — add as many as you like, each on its own line.
A quick look at building a record, keeping the details private, and getting everything ready for the app.
Fill out the Add Firearm form here and send it to your phone — we never keep a copy.
Enter the weapon and its ammo (grain, BC, velocity) on our easy form.
Once your weapon is entered, one tap and the text or email record is sent to you. Nothing is stored here.
Open Vault, tap Import, paste — and your firearm is added.
Early feedback from the range. (Sample testimonials.)
Finally a gun log that doesn't upload my collection to some company's server. Everything stays on my phone.
The scope dial alone is worth it. I keep my dope for every rifle right next to its photo.
Loaned a shotgun to my brother and the app actually reminded me to get it back. Slick.

Smart entry — pick your make and model, and we'll fill in the type and caliber. Anything not listed? Choose Other on any field to type it in.
If set, the shared text is scrambled. Enter the same passphrase on the app's Import screen to bring it in.
